[13:20:49] I am done with my deadlines now so I could spend some more time figuring out what's wrong with the german grammar [13:22:05] Ah, no I haven't. My main interest was I was thinking it might make it easier for my to write my application grammar. [13:22:16] Like I could use it to navigate the RGL using examples [13:22:29] Since it has decent coverage. [13:23:14] But I guess maybe only for nouns since that's all that in Universal Wordnet? [13:24:19] At least trying TranslateFin is failing with really common verbs for me like "katsot" and "näet" [13:25:33] the lexicon is from different sources, and those verbs should certainly be there; I think the problem may be the stemming hack in the finnish grammar [13:25:41] so the linearisation strings are actually katso &+ t [13:25:45] and näe &+ t [13:25:49] to make the grammar faster [13:26:06] Oh! [13:26:11] so unfortunately it's not great for parsing finnish [13:26:34] Okay so maybe I'll have better luck with English examples then [13:27:13] yeah [13:27:26] So btw how does that work? I guess there's a special tokeniser for Finnish? [13:27:34] hahah I don't know [13:27:37] I haven't heard of one [13:27:54] we have 2 versions of the finnish grammar, the &+ one and the normal [13:29:11] Ah okay [14:34:58] Should there not be a VPList? [14:36:26] I get up, eat breakfast, go to work, get home and go to sleep. [14:36:34] to get up, eat breakfast, go to work, get home and go to sleep [14:36:47] She gets up, eats breakfast, goes to work, gets home and goes to sleep [14:58:03] frankier: there seems to be ListVPI and ListVPS in the translator grammar [14:59:10] maybe a useful link: http://www.grammaticalframework.org/lib/doc/absfuns.html [15:00:38] Ah! It's an extension. [15:00:40] Thanks for the link [15:15:49] Looks something similar is also in Extra interestingly [15:38:21] *** Joins: fotonzade (~photon@78.189.158.97) [15:43:35] gah I finally updated my GF and now I get this O_o [15:43:39] Translate> p "my hovercraft is full of eels" [15:43:39] Segmentation fault: 11 [15:58:56] *** Quits: stoopkid (uid137696@gateway/web/irccloud.com/x-dvklaarasmtrfkgy) (Quit: Connection closed for inactivity) [16:41:37] this is an exciting day, yet another error I've never seen before [16:41:37] Translate> gr | l [16:41:38] Ix{Int}.index: Index (2884) out of range ((0,2324)) [17:15:18] *** Joins: proteusguy (~proteus-g@49.228.100.118) [17:45:44] *** Joins: sirdancealot (~sirdancea@79.98.72.195) [17:49:32] *** Quits: sirdancealot (~sirdancea@79.98.72.195) (Read error: Connection reset by peer) [17:52:11] *** Joins: sirdancealot (~sirdancea@79.98.72.195) [19:05:35] *** Quits: fotonzade (~photon@78.189.158.97) (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [22:38:08] *** Joins: fotonzade (~photon@78.189.158.97) [23:10:16] *** Quits: fotonzade (~photon@78.189.158.97) (Quit: Leaving) [23:43:33] *** Joins: fotonzade (~photon@78.189.158.97)
